This website is for young people too – with sections written specifically for 16-25 year olds looking for a job or wanting to move on at work. Here’s a quick overview. We encourage you to explore the site, use it with the young people you work with, and signpost them to it.

Young people can find out about the skills and qualities that are particularly important to employers – and access a range of information and ideas on how to develop these vital skills and demonstrate them to an employer.

A key feature of the site is a series of short employer films – which provide clear insights into what employers want and hints and tips on how to get a job and progress at work. The films feature five employers, of different sizes, working in a range of sectors.

THERE ARE FOUR MAIN SECTIONS TO THE SITE:

Looking for Work

Applying for a job

Getting on at work

Vital skills
